How does the privilege/recording work?+
Aria discloses recording at the start ("calls are recorded for quality"). If the caller says they don't want to be recorded, recording is paused for that call. You can also set recording-off as default per agent in settings.
Does it give legal advice?+
No. Aria is intake-only: captures matter type + schedules the consultation. The lawyer-client conversation happens at the consultation, not on the intake call.
What about contingency / hourly explanations?+
Aria explains your fee structure (consultation free, then hourly $X or contingency Y%) at a high level. Detailed engagement letters happen in person.
Can it handle non-clients (referrals out)?+
Yes. For matters you don't handle (e.g., a divorce firm getting a tax question), Aria says 'we don't handle that, but we recommend [partner firm]' and offers to send a referral SMS.
